Modern Korean, also known as Hangugeo, is the official language of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) and Republic of Korea (South Korea). It is spoken by approximately 71 million people all around the world. Modern Korean was invented by King Sejong of Joseon dynasty in 15th century. It has several regional dialects both in North and South Korea. In Korean, there are many loan words that are taken from English language which makes it easy for English speakers to learn the language. The grammatical rules are easy and there are only 24 alphabets in totality. Additionally, Korean is a gender-neutral and phonetic language and Korean grammar does not have verb conjugations and noun genders. Even within Korea, the regional varieties of the language vary to a larger extent.
