Hey! I am Poonam Pareek, a Child Psychology degree holder, Life Skill Trainer and a Teacher by profession. I have grown up in Jaipur which is known for its rich vibrant culture, alluring forts, and delicious food. Amongst my friends, I am famous for hosting parties and my happy-go-lucky attitude. I have always felt the best use of knowledge is by transferring it to the younger generation and that has made me choose teaching as my passion. Speaking academically, my qualification in Psychology has helped me in understanding a children’s abilities, their moods, and the reason why they act in a certain way. I believe that communication skills are necessary in today’s time because that leads to better ways of presenting a person’s self in public. My teaching methodologies are all about visual presentations and story-telling because I believe that these techniques make children more inclined towards learning and they truly catch attention of kids. I like to keep my classes friendly and interactive to make students comfortable. I was also associated with F-Tec, a Delhi-based NGO which works for the development of under-privileged children. There, I had the chance to interact with children to make them aware of necessary computer and communication skills free of cost. That is one of the proudest moments of my life because I was able to contribute to the development of children and make a difference with my abilities.
It’s been more than 8 years for me in the field of teaching. I have taught many classes over the years. Interacting with kids has enabled me to develop many skills like Conflict Resolution, Teamwork, Tenacity etc. I have been a Pre-School teacher and later, I was promoted to the post of Pre-School coordinator. I also have taught English at Primary School level. Apart from this, I also take special classes for Public Speaking and Personality Development. I conduct sessions for Spoken English skills as well.
